Welcome to our practice website. We congratulate you on taking the first step toward better periodontal health. In Dr. Eric Brooks' office your care is our first priority. Please utilize this website as a resource. It will help you better understand your course of treatment and answer many questions related to periodontal disease and therapy.
Dr. Brooks' practice focuses on treatment of periodontal disease, cosmetic periodontal therapy, and dental implants to replace missing teeth. We utilize both non-surgical and surgical treatments to preserve your dentition, as well as cosmetic procedures to aesthetically enhance your smile.
We strive to make your visits with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We strongly believe our patients' comfort is an important part of quality dental care. Dr. Brooks' patients enjoys his warm and caring demeanor, and look forward to his humor. He is never too busy to spend time answering patient questions. He wants you to have an understanding of your care. Our patients often thank us for making their visits and treatment so much easier than they imagined.
The majority of our patients have been referred by general dentists and specialists who have worked with Dr. Brooks over the years and trust he will take excellent care of their patients. We work closely with your referring dentist in preparing treatment plans, and updating him/her on treatment as it progresses. A referral by a dentist is, however, not required to visit our office. We also receive and continue to welcome referrals of friends and family of past and current patients.
Our practice is often referred to as a "boutique office". From his first day in practice in 1976, Dr. Brooks has had a strong belief in doing what is right for his patients. Treatment plans and office protocols are patient-need based, not insurance company-guided. Dr. Brooks will recommend the best treatment options for your care; however, when cost is a factor, after outlining what he believes to be the ideal solution, will offer alternative options.
We pride ourselves in never overbooking our patients and allowing ample time for scheduled procedures - out of respect for the value of your time, as well as never wanting to compromise patient care by rushing.
We are extraordinarily proud of our staff, which is comprised of caring and dedicated professionals. They ensure that the patient's needs are met as efficiently and smoothly as possible, with warmth and good humor.
From your first phone call or visit to the office, you will feel our efforts to make you comfortable and relaxed. We know you may be nervous, and we want to help you overcome that feeling. We are here to listen to your questions and concerns and to help provide solutions leading to your better health. Please don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions regarding your care.
A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of periodontal (gums and supporting bone) disease and in the placement and maintenance of dental implants. Periodontists are experts in the treatment of all forms of periodontal disease, including gingivitis, periodontitis, and gingival (gum) recession. Basically, the periodontist cares for the foundation, the supporting structures of your teeth. Your teeth can look great, but if the supporting structures are disintegrating beneath them, and you do not seek treatment, you will eventually lose them. The periodontist wants you to keep your teeth where feasible and will do whatever is reasonable to help you regain periodontal health.
The American Dental Association recognizes Periodontics as one of the nine specialties of dentistry. Periodontists receive extensive training, including three years of additional education beyond dental school.
By choosing a periodontal specialist you will benefit from the latest procedures for treating periodontal disease and/or placing dental implants - tailored to your needs. In addition, Dr. Brooks can perform cosmetic periodontal procedures to help you achieve the smile you desire.
